The Nether Stowey branch practice is located on Castle street opposite the Castle Stores. In the heart of The Quantocks it provides a convenient local veterinary service to the surrounding area. The practice is open every morning (Monday to Saturday), as well as on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday evenings.
The surgeries at Nether Stowey, with the exception of a Tuesday afternoon ‘appointments only’ surgery, are all ‘open surgeries’ which means that you come in with your pet, take a seat and wait your turn to see the vet. This has proved very popular with our clients.
The Nether Stowey practice is RCVS accredited to ‘core standards’, which means it has good facilities. Whilst not equipped to the standards of the Bridgwater Hospital, it can handle most routine appointments including:
- consultations (examining and treating pets)
- post operative check ups
- vaccinations
- identi-chipping
Surgery or diagnostic medical procedures such as blood sampling, x-ray and ultrasound need to be seen at the Hospital. All emergency cases, including those requiring care out of hours, should also go to the main Hospital.

- Exit Bridgwater on the A39 towards Minehead
- Bypass Cannington
- Take the first turning into Nether Stowey
- Turn left at the clock tower and post office into Castle Street
- The surgery is on the right hand side opposite Castle Stores
- There is a free car park on the right just before the surgery
